YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — The U.S. Army is investigating the cause of a vehicle rollover that injured nine soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s 17th Brigade.

Maj. Chris Ophardt says the soldiers suffered bumps and bruises when the six-wheeled cargo truck they were riding in rolled on a tank trail at the Yakima Training Center.

Seven soldiers were treated at the center and released to duty. Two others were transported to a local hospital for treatment and released.

The soldiers were conducting field artillery training at the time of the Tuesday morning incident.

Ophardt says an investigation into the cause will take three to six weeks.
