Three more local baseball players drafted

Three more local baseball players were selected in the second day of Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft.

Skyview High School senior Kody Watts was selected in the 15th round (selection No. 452 overall) by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Michael Blake, an infielder and Heritage High graduate who now plays at the University of Hawaii, was taken in the 16th round (No. 484) by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

And Taylor Ard, an infielder from Washington State and a Prairie High School product, was taken in the 25th round (No. 772) by the Boston Red Sox.
