Three reappointed to equalization board

Clark County Commissioners reappointed three members to three-year terms on its Board of Equalization on Monday.

Gary Hermansen and Patrick White were appointed as full-term board members. Mandi Schoolfield was appointed as an alternate to serve on an on-call basis.

Hermansen is the current chairman of the board and will begin his third term. He is retired from private sector industrial sales.

White has been a board member since 1999 and currently serves as vice chairman. He is retired, having worked in the housing and building industries.

Schoolfield is a state-certified residential real estate appraiser who has been an alternate on the board for the past year.

The Board of Equalization provides an impartial citizen forum through which property owners can resolve assessed valuation disagreements or exemption removal or denial challenges. Members are paid $75 per day to attend board meetings.
