PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The TriMet board of directors voted Wednesday to increase adult transit fares by a nickel.

Starting in September, an adult all-zone ticket will cost $2.40.

At a meeting in Portland, the board also voted to raise the cost of monthly passes by $4 to $92.

The Oregonian reports the board put off until next month a vote on a fare increase for its LIFT service for the disabled.
