VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Clark County prosecutors filed an aggravated murder charge against a Vancouver man accused of stabbing his estranged girlfriend.

Prosecutors say the aggravating factor is the violation of a no-contact order in a domestic violence case.

The Columbian reports prosecutors will decide whether to seek the death penalty against 43-year-old Dennis L. Wolter after his arraignment, set for June 23 in Vancouver.

He was arrested May 26 when he was stopped in Camas for speeding and the officer saw he was covered in blood. Investigators found the body of 41-year-old Kori Fredericksen down an embankment east of Vancouver.
