Probation revoked for Jackie’s half brother

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A judge has revoked probation for the half-brother of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on child pornography charges.

Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Tim Gerking ruled Thursday in Medford that 64-year-old James Auchincloss had failed to cooperate in his court-ordered sex-offender treatment program and sentenced him to 8 months in jail.

Given credit for time served, he will spend two months behind bars.

The judge said he didn’t want to send Auchincloss to prison because there was no evidence that he was a danger to society.

The judge discounted defense testimony that Auchincloss suffered from a brain injury or disorder that would explain his refusal to follow the group therapy he was ordered to complete.
