PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Interstate 84 crash involving a group of motorcycle riders headed to an annual rally in Baker City, Ore., killed one biker and seriously injured another.

Oregon State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings says the two were among a group of 12 people on 10 motorcycles traveling around noon on Friday near Troutdale, east of Portland.

Police say 63-year-old Michael Ray Pamplin of Albany was killed when he lost control, crashed to the pavement and was run over by a second biker, identified as 50-year-old Keith Corbett of Lebanon. Corbett was taken to a Portland hospital.

One lane of eastbound I-84 was reopened about an hour after the crash. Hastings says all lanes were open by 4 p.m.
