COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -- Top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki beat German qualifier Mona Barthel 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday to reach the final of the Sony Ericsson Open, where she will face fourth-seeded Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic.
The 20-year-old Dane saw off the 142nd-ranked Barthel in 62 minutes on the indoor hard court at Farum Arena. She'll be seeking her fifth WTA title of the year in Sunday's final.
Earlier Saturday, Safarova rallied from a set down to beat Petra Martic of Croatia 1-6, 6-0, 6-2. Safarova, who has lost the first set in each of her matches in Copenhagen, was 4-0 down in the second before hitting a string of winners to take 12 of the final 14 games.
