The Health Professions Quality Assurance office of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.
In April, the Nursing Commission charged licensed practical nurse Allan J.P. Albert with unprofessional conduct. He allegedly diverted medications for his own use and tested positive for a legend drug — any drug which requites a prescription — for which he didn’t have a valid prescription. In 2008, he was convicted of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or forged prescription.
In May, the East Asian Medicine Program charged Susan Kay Shultz with unprofessional conduct. She allegedly administered a legend drug with prescriptive authority.
