MONTREAL (AP) — Sebastian Vettel posted the quickest time in final practice on Saturday ahead of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix.

The runaway championship leader finished his fastest lap at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in 1 minute, 13.381 seconds.

Vettel, who has won five of the first six races of the season for Red Bull, was 0.320 seconds quicker than Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg was third ahead of Alonso’s teammate Felipe Massa and the McLarens of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

The sesson ended with Sauber’s Pedro de la Rosa crashing on Turn 4. The 40-year-old Spaniard took the Sauber seat after Sergio Perez withdrew from the race feeling unwell.
