‘Dog Days of Summer’ event set at dog park

VANCOUVER — A nonprofit dog park advocacy group that builds and maintains off-leash parks will host “Dog Days of Summer” at Dakota Memorial Dog Park.

The event will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the park, 1515 N.E. 164th Ave.

There will be a police K9 demonstration, doggie contests, vendors, pet experts, draws and lure coursing.

Admission is free, with a suggested donation of dry/wet pet food for AniMeals.

The event is hosted by Dog Owners Group for Park Access in Washington, or DOGPAW.
