SCAPPOOSE, Ore. (AP) -- The man who fell out of a moving pickup and died near Scappoose has been identified at Alex Montoya, the dean of enrollment services at Clark College in Vancouver, Wash.
College President Bob Knight informed the staff Sunday in an email. Knight said the 38-year-old Montoya and his wife, Clark's associate vice president of planning, Shanda Diehl, had twin sons earlier this year.
The Columbian reports Montoya fell Saturday night from a truck driven by 26-year-old Nicholas James Kay of Vancouver. He was booked into the Columbia County Jail on suspicion of criminal negligent homicide and driving under the influence.
Paramedics found Montoya in the road unconscious and were unable to revive him.
