HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) — The recent closure of the Grays Harbor Paper mill in Hoquiam is having an impact on the city.

Mayor Jack Durney told the city council Monday night that the city will not fill two vacant positions in the police department.

KBKW reports the city also will not replace some equipment as soon as planned.

Durney says with the mill closing the city will not receive about $200,000 in revenue it expected this year.
