Camas — A team of freshmen girls from the Camas High School’s Math, Science and Technology Magnet program won $10,000 on May 21 at the Imagine Tomorrow Science Competition at Washington State University in Pullman.

The team implemented a composting project with second-graders at Helen Baller Elementary School using red worms, education and friendly competition.

The team was one of four first-prize winning teams. This is the first time Camas has won first place in this science competition.

Team members are Ryann Bruno, Karly Marshall, Lindsey Weinberg and Haley Pfeifer. Their adviser is Sam Greene.
