Afghanistan vehicle accident kills 4 NATO troopers

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- NATO says four of its service members have been killed in a vehicle accident in southern Afghanistan.

The international military coalition says in a statement issued Sunday that the incident occurred Saturday and was not connected to any fighting or insurgent activity.

Force spokesman British Maj. Tim James said all were killed in a vehicle accident but declined to provide details on how the crash happened or what type of vehicle was involved.
