Letter: More important matters to attend

Should the House Ethics Committee have investigated Congressman Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., for tweeting naughty photos, if he had not resigned? Probably, but only after they investigate those congressmen who sell their votes to special interests, like they’ve been doing for decades now. Let’s keep our eye on the ball here.

The big ethics violations are when our elected representatives spend their time representing the sources of their large campaign contributions rather than representing the citizens of the United States.

After the Ethics Committee takes care of that problem, then they should turn their attention to more mundane things.
