Planters Days festival under way in Woodland

Festivities are under way for the 89th installment of Planters Days at Horseshoe Lake in Woodland.

The event will last through Sunday. This year’s theme is “Planting good seeds by doing good deeds.”

The carnival portion of the festival began at 3 p.m. Thursday.

On Saturday, the Planters Days Parade will roll at 11 a.m. on Davidson Avenue near Horseshoe Lake.

An event raffle will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. The main prize is $5,000 in cash.
