3 rescued after vessel capsizes off Ore. coast




ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — The Coast Guard rescued three people after their vessel capsized off Port Orford, Ore.

After receiving a distress call around 8 a.m. Saturday, a helicopter crew spotted three people clinging to their overturned boat about 10 miles off shore.

The Coast Guard says in a release that a lifeboat rescued the three, who were checked out by medics and found to be in good condition.

No other information was released, including the cause of the capsizing and details on the three people rescued.
