SEATTLE (AP) -- A Washington State Patrol trooper used a Taser to subdue a man who was resisting arrest after fleeing from an Interstate 5 traffic stop and crashing at an exit in downtown Seattle.
KIRO-TV reports the chase began early Monday shortly after midnight when the driver refused to stop. It ended when the fleeing vehicle hit a curb and flipped.
Trooper Doug Geltz says the driver tried to run away, then fought with the trooper who shot him with the Taser. He was jailed for investigation of drunken driving and resisting arrest.
