Airline offers $9 Portland-to-Vegas flights

Spirit Airlines says it plans to offer two daily nonstop flights from Portland to Las Vegas this fall.
The Florida-based airline said the flights from Portland International Airport will begin Sept. 22.
Port of Portland officials say Las Vegas is the most-traveled route from the Oregon airport with some 450,000 passengers traveling it each year.
Spirit is offering $9 fares today and Tuesday to launch the new route.
