La Center — What do Sebastian from Germany, Patrizia from Austria and Lookpla from Thailand have in common? They are three NW Services Peace Program foreign exchange students who attended Clark County schools this year.

From Woodland to Brush Prairie, the students lived and attended high schools in north Clark County. Four students walked in the Woodland High School graduation ceremony. Two earned special awards: Emilie Alquist, Finland, was given the Spanish department award, and Marloes Dikkens, Holland, was given the English department award.

Patrizia Grumboeck of Austria lived with Jennifer and Doug Grubbs in La Center. She joined the equestrian team during her stay and placed in several competitions including taking fourth at a meet in Spanaway.

Clark County families interested in hosting exchange students in the fall can visit http://www.nw-services.com or contact Nancy Roberts, the local coordinator at 360-263-6492.
