Ridgefield — Ball players and their families will be sitting pretty in the near future. The city was awarded a $6,200 grant from the Parks Foundation of Clark County to replace bleachers at Abrams Park.

Ridgefield Little League will provide a match to the grant in the form of volunteer labor to install the bleachers.

New aluminum seating will replace the nearly 30-year-old weather-worn bleachers. Around 400 young athletes are involved in Ridgefield Little League each year, with all league games and practices are held at Abrams Park.
