Local residents with experience in the areas of school administration, the business community or neighborhood associations are invited to apply to serve on the C-TRAN Citizens Advisory Committee.

The role of the committee is to advise the C TRAN board of directors and staff on transit and paratransit policies, programs and plans. The committee is comprised of 15 positions, including a Clark County fixed-route bus rider, youth/student, senior citizen, bi-state commuter, C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-ambulatory C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-rider, visually impaired and developmentally disabled individuals, as well as representatives from the environmental community, social services and the community-at-large.

There are currently no Citizens Advisory Committee members who live in Camas or Washougal.

“The committee members represent different socioeconomic groups and rider demographics and not specific geographical areas of our service area,” said C-TRAN Passenger Service Manager Walt Gordon.

The Citizens Advisory Committee meets on the last Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at C-TRAN’s administrative office, 2425 N.E. 65th Ave., Vancouver. For more information or to request an application, call 696-4494 or visit www.c-tran.com/ccac.html.
