Man gets 2 years for assaulting Ore. officer, teen

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The second of two men charged in an assault on a teenager and a police officer has been sentenced to two years in prison.
The Oregonian reported that 23-year-old Leegabe Littlewhirlwind pleaded guilty to assault and assault on a public safety officer near the Tualatin Community Park boat ramp last April.
Police responding to a call found that a 17-year old had been hit in the face and thrown in the Tualatin River. Police arrested Littlewhirlwind and 28-year-old David Livingston of Portland.
As police were taking the men into custody, Littlewhirlwind reportedly head-butted one officer, who was treated for a minor head injury.
Livingston pleaded guilty to assaulting the teenager and was sentenced to 14 months in prison.
