SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Salem police say a man sought on arrest warrants crashed his pickup truck into a police patrol car, then led officers on a 12-mile chase before crashing in some brush and being arrested.

Lt. Dave Okada says police detectives and patrol officers had tried to box the man’s vehicle in with their patrol cars Wednesday but he accelerated and plowed into the front quarter panel of Cpl. Okada says police arrested 37-year-old Kenneth Cleo Heart Jr. of Salem and took him to a hospital to be checked for possible minor injuries.

Croll was not hurt.
