ENDICOTT, N.Y. (AP) — Loren Roberts is ready to defend his title at the fifth annual Dick’s Sporting Goods Open on the Champions Tour.

Roberts tees off Friday at En-Joie Golf Club trying to become the tournament’s first repeat winner.

Local favorite Joey Sindelar enters his fourth season on the senior circuit and is still seeking his first win. Sindelar is healthy again after back problems in April.

Tom Watson, who won the Senior PGA Championship, is back at En-Joie for the first time since he finished in a tie for 21st at the 1976 B.C. Open on the PGA Tour.

Watson is ranked third with 850 points in the race for the Charles Schwab Cup behind Tom Lehman (1,494) and Nick Price (899), who also are in the field this week.
