Ore. man arrested in death of infant son

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 33-year-old Tigard, Ore., man for investigation of murder in the death of his 11-week-old son, one of twin boys.

Washington County sheriff’s Sgt. David Thompson says detectives were called on June 12 to Providence St. Vincent’s Medical Center to investigate injuries to a child. The child was initially hospitalized after the father called 911 and reported an unspecified medical condition.

Thompson did not release the cause of death or when the baby died.

The father, Kaliq Michael Mansor, was arrested Friday and booked into the Washington County Jail without bail. The Oregonian says he’s scheduled for a Circuit Court appearance on Monday.

The other twin has been taken into protective custody.

Thompson declined to release any other information.
