MILWAUKEE (AP) — Twins left fielder Delmon Young left the game on a stretcher after jamming his leg and right foot into the base of the wall in the fifth inning of Minnesota’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Young immediately grabbed for his right knee as he fell to the ground and put no weight on the leg as he was helped onto a stretcher and taken from Miller Park in a cart on Saturday night.

Young is the latest in an injury-riddled season for the Twins, who learned on Friday night that first baseman Justin Morneau would need neck surgery and will miss six weeks. Minnesota came into action Saturday with 13 players having spent some time on the disabled list this year, missing a combined total of 361 games.

Young came in hitting .259 with two homers and 20 RBIs in 54 games.
