WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. United have acquired defender Brandon McDonald from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for allocation money.
The 25-year-old McDonald started 54 games over 212 seasons with the Earthquakes. He has played in 11 games this season, included eight starts.
McDonald was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2008.
