Esther Short — The Children’s Justice Center received a gift of art June 17 from 13 teenagers who turned a white wall into a colorful mural of inspiring messages and images. These local artists are a part of the Mormon church Young Women Group. The group spent many hours on the project with the assistance of youth group leader Laura Sheppert. Formerly known as the Child Abuse Intervention Center, the center provides a place for children who are victims of abuse. The public is invited to see the mural at the Children’s Justice Center, 601 W. Evergreen, Blvd., Suite 101.
