SEATTLE (AP) — Mariners catcher Miguel Olivo left Tuesday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves in the fourth inning with cramps.

Olivo grounded out to third base to end the third inning and took quite a while to come out of the dugout to begin the fourth. He was escorted out to the plate by manager Eric Wedge and a trainer and stayed in the game.

But when Jordan Schafer swung at strike three in the dirt and Olivo lunged to make the tag, he immediately signaled to the bench and left the game.

The team said Olivo was being hydrated and treated in the clubhouse and be re-evaluated after the game. He was replaced by Chris Gimenez.
