ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — Albany, Ore., police say they found a 49-year-old man dead in his living room from an apparent gunshot wound on Wednesday. Police went to the house after a woman called to say she had just shot a man at the residence.
The victim was identified as Derrick Jack Miller.
Lt. Brad Liles says 35-year-old Melissa Amber Haley was found standing in the street a short distance away. Police recovered a .38-caliber revolver on a nearby sidewalk.
Liles says Haley was arrested and booked into the Linn County Jail for investigation of murder. The officer says she was Miller’s tenant.
Albany detectives are continuing their investigation.
