Ladenburg to seek spot on Wash. Supreme Court

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- Former Pierce County Executive John Ladenburg is seeking a spot on the Washington Supreme Court.

Ladenburg said Wednesday that has decided against running for attorney general in 2012. He campaigned for that position in 2008 but lost to Republican Rob McKenna.

Ladenburg did not say which Supreme Court seat he is seeking and does not plan to challenge any incumbents. He expects there will be multiple vacancies.

Republican Reagan Dunn and Democrat Bob Ferguson are campaigning to replace McKenna, who is running for governor.
