Pancake Breakfast and City of Abundance Mural Kick off: 9 to 11 a.m. July 2. Street party to celebrate the first City of Abundance mural in Rose Village, east side of IGA Grocery, 2109 St. John’s Blvd.

Western Cascades Ethnobotany Workshop: 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 12 in the Cordwood Classroom on West Biddle Lake at Columbia Springs, 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway. Learn how to identify local plants and about some of the uses that people have discovered for these plants. The workshop will combine an introduction in the classroom with slides and a walk through Columbia Springs’ diverse ecosystems.
