Thursday, June 30, 2011
SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- A propane leak forced the closure of an Oregon high school but no injuries were reported.
Salem-Keizer School District officials said contractors working on a roofing project at North Salem High School had propane leak from a tank on Thursday.
A Salem Fire Department spokesman said the tank was damaged when it was being moved.
But school officials told the Statesman Journal they evacuated the building as a precaution and decided to close it for the day.
