White House nominates federal judge for Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- The White House has nominated a longtime assistant U.S. attorney for Eastern Washington for a federal judgeship in Spokane.
Thomas Owen Rice has been an assistant U.S. attorney since 1987 in the Spokane office. He is a 1986 graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law.
