INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Former U.S. junior champ Jordyn Wieber will make her senior debut at this weekend’s American Cup.

The 15-year-old was added to the lineup for Saturday’s meet in Jacksonville, Fla., as a replacement for Nicole Hibbert, who was injured at last weekend’s English championships. The field also includes world champion Aliya Mustafina of Russia and China’s Huang Qiushuang, who was fourth at worlds.

Wieber is considered one of the top U.S. up-and-comers. She won the American Cup as a junior in 2009 and took the junior title at last year’s Pacific Rim championships with a score that would have topped the senior division. She took the U.S. junior title in 2008, but injuries have sidelined her at the last two national championships.
