Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was selected as the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month for February, the team announced Wednesday.

“It’s an honor to be named player of the month, something I will always remember,” Aldridge said.

Aldridge averaged 27.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists. 1.7 steals and 1.6 blocks in 12 games in February, leading the Blazers to an 8-4 mark that included wins over the Spurs, Bulls, Hornets and Nuggets.

“I’m really happy to see LaMarcus rewarded for all of his hard work and commitment to the game,” Blazers general manager Rich Cho said. “He’s taken his play to another level this season and is playing the best basketball of his career. He’s now widely regarded as one of the best power forwards in the league.”
