SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Chilean cyclist Marco Arriagada admits he tested positive while winning the Vuelta a Chile last month.
The Chilean cycling federation has confirmed there were three positive tests during the event. Although it declined to name the riders, Arriagada told the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio he was among them. He denied knowingly taking any prohibited substance.
Arriagada, who has participated in three Olympics, could face a ban of two years if he is found guilty of doping.
