FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Cameron Jones broke Northern Arizona’s single-season scoring record Wednesday night as the Lumberjacks closed out the regular season with a 79-52 victory over Portland State.

Jones, who finished with 14 points, hit a 3-pointer 4 minutes into the game to break the record that Kyle Landry set three years ago. The senior guard, who now has 574 points this season, became Northern Arizona’s all-time leading scorer last Saturday.

Eric Platt added 21 points on Wednesday for the Lumberjacks (18-11, 9-7 Big Sky), who improved to 12-1 at home — their second-best home winning percentage in school history. They will carry the No. 4 seed into the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament and host No. 5 Montana State on Saturday.

Chris Harriel scored 13 points and Philip Thomas added 10 for Portland State (13-16, 5-11), which fell to 1-11 on the road.
