CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A Corvallis man faces theft and arson charges after police say he bragged to at least two people about setting another man’s car on fire and stealing the car stereo.
The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports 18-year-old Caleb N. Kontra was charged with second-degree arson, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree theft nearly one year after setting fire to the car of a 21-year-old Corvallis man.
Lt. Cord Wood says two of Kontra’s acquaintances, including an ex-girlfriend, say he was responsible for the March 29, 2010 fire.
