VANCOUVER –The Fort Vancouver National Site is hosting a meeting Wednesday to provide information to nonprofit organizations, service organizations and school teams and clubs on how to raise money while selling tickets for this year’s Independence Day at Fort Vancouver.

The campaign, Go 4th Raise Funds, allows groups to sell $5 advance general admission tickets to Independence Day at Fort Vancouver and receive $1 back for each ticket the group sells.

The informational meeting will discuss how the Go 4th campaign works and answer questions, a news release from the fort said. Participants can register at the meeting and start selling Independence Day tickets immediately. The campaign began Feb. 1 and runs through June 30.

The meeting will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the General O.O. Howard House, 750 Anderson St.

The funds generated from the “Go 4th Raise Funds” campaign are applied directly to the expense of putting on the event.

Independence Day at Fort Vancouver presented by Bank of America is a nonprofit event produced by the Fort Vancouver National Trust, a nonprofit organization.
