NEW YORK (AP) — Julian Boyd scored 20 points and Jamal Olasewere added 18 points and 12 rebounds as Long Island University defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 90-75 Thursday night in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast Conference tournament.

The top-seeded Blackbirds (25-5) shot 55.4 percent from the field (31 of 56), bolted to a 44-26 halftime lead and won their 11th in a row.

St. Francis (9-21) was called for 29 fouls, nearly twice Long Island’s 15, and though the Blackbirds didn’t shoot particularly well from the free-throw line, their 36 trips there — compared to St. Francis’ 10 — hurt the Red Flash. The Blackbirds made 22, the Red Flash six.

C.J. Garner added 12 points while Kyle Johnson contributed 11 for the Blackbirds, who play fourth-seeded Central Connecticut State in a Sunday semifinal.

Kameron Ritter led St. Francis with 20 points, while Will Felder added 14.
