Nominations for youth awards being accepted

VANCOUVER — Nominations are being accepted for the 13th annual Youth Achievement Awards in Clark County.

The Clark County Youth Commission, with guidance from the county’s Department of Community Services, is sponsoring the May 21 program, which will recognize up to 300 people between ages 11 and 19. Anyone can submit nominations and youth can nominate themselves before the April 1 deadline.

The awards will recognize achievement in 11 categories: courage, arts, business/enterprise, citizenship, leadership, family life, education, environmental stewardship, personal achievement, inspiration and tolerance.
