Columbia Adventist’s season ends

Nathan Richards came a block shy of a triple double, scoring 27 points to go with 11 rebounds and nine blocks as Rosalia pulled away early against Columbia Adventist and beat the Kodiak 70-26 in a fourth-place semifinal at the Class 1B state tournament Friday in Spokane.

Richards had 17 points and nine boards at the break to help Rosalia take a 37-12 halftime lead, going on a 15-3 run to start the second quarter.

Columbia Adventist (16-2) was paced by five points and seven rebounds from Tevita Palaki. But the Spartans held CAA to just 19.3 percent shooting from the floor.
