Late comeback lifts Cornell past Brown 75-66

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Josh Figini scored seven of his nine points in the final 3:36 and Cornell scored the game’s last 13 points to defeat Brown 75-66 on Friday night.

Chris Wroblewski scored 14 points and had seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Big Red (9-18, 5-8 Ivy League), which won both its games this season against the Bears (11-16, 4-9). Andrew Ferry added 13 points and Mark Coury had 12.

After leading 66-62, Brown was scoreless for the final 6:54 of the game. A 3-pointer by Figini with 3:36 remaining gave Cornell its first lead of the second half, 67-66, and it never trailed again.

Tucker Halpern led Brown with 18 points. Seventeen came in the first half, including a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left for a 41-39 halftime lead.

Peter Sullivan had 12 points for the Bears, moving into fifth place on Brown’s career scoring list with 1,340.
