TUKWILA, Wash. (AP) — Supporters groups and coaches from the Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps have come together to discuss the first season of the most heated regional rivalry in Major League Soccer.

The three teams held a joint summit Saturday as part of a larger weekend event where the three teams are playing round-robin exhibition games. The gathering began Friday night when Portland beat Seattle 2-0. The Timbers and Whitecaps played later Saturday, and Vancouver and Seattle will wrap up the three-day event Sunday.

Among the chief concerns for the supporters groups is access in the visiting stadiums. The three teams have guaranteed 500 seats for traveling fans. Timbers owner Merritt Paulson and Seattle general manager Adrian Hanauer said if the visiting fans show the interest, that number might be reconsidered in the future.
