SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — Carl Crawford had his first two hits in a Boston uniform and a Red Sox split-squad and the Baltimore Orioles played 10 innings Saturday before calling it a tie, 4-4.

Crawford, hitless in his first nine at-bats, signed a 7-year, $142 million contract with the Red Sox this winter. He had singles in the first and fifth innings and left the game after walking in the seventh inning.

Jacoby Ellsbury and Crawford were the only recognizable names to make the trip. Most of the regulars stayed behind in Fort Myers for their split-squad game against Florida.

Boston’s rookie second baseman Oscar Tejada had three RBIs for the second straight game.

Baltimore starter Brad Bergesen gave up three runs to the Red Sox in the third innings.
