PHOENIX (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Corey Hart says he could be out longer than originally expected after aggravating his strained left oblique muscle.
Hart, who strained the muscle during a throwing exercise a week ago, was taking fly balls when he turned to catch a ball and felt discomfort in his rib cage.
Hart had been expected to miss two weeks. He says the injury is not getting worse, but it’s not going as fast as he had hoped.
Brewers manager Ron Roenicke still hopes to have Hart ready by Opening Day.
