GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Mark Buehrle was hit hard in his second outing of the spring, allowing five runs and nine hits in three innings of the Chicago White Sox’s 8-3 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday

Mike Aviles had three hits and Clint Robinson two RBIs for the Royals, who had 17 hits.

The first three batters of the game reached base and scored against Buehrle, who didn’t allow a baserunner in his first start of the spring.

Kansas City starter Luke Hochevar pitched three innings and allowed one run and three hits.

Pedro Feliz and Lance Zawadzki hit solo home runs for the Royals. Aviles now has eight hits in 17 Cactus League at-bats.
